In a press release shared with the media, GT wrote that "Gujarat Titans will release tickets for their first home match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Friday – March 10, 2023. The 2022 champions will play seven home games at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad starting March 31 – the first of which is against the Chennai Super Kings. Tickets will be available from 6pm Indian Standard Time (IST)."
Captain vs Captain
The match will include a battle between a seasoned captain and an up-and-coming one, which will be one of the highlights. Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni are the players in question. Dhoni has won the championship four times while leading the Chennai Super Kings, but Hardik won it once while leading the Gujarat Titans, and that too with a brand-new team. Hardik has previously discussed the influence of Dhoni on his career and how he adopts MSD's leadership style as Gujarat's captain. Hardik was appointed captain of the Indian T20 team as well, a position in which he has won three series, as a result of his success as captain in the IPL 2022.
